Birmingham Yoga – Yoga Classes, Studios & Workshops
The mission of Birmingham Yoga is to support, nurture and strengthen the Birmingham, AL, yoga community through yoga teacher training opportunities and multi-level workshops, networking with area studios and serving as a source of information for area students in search of studio-based training and area classes.
We invite and host talented yoga teachers from a variety of yoga approaches, traditions and schools for workshops and intensives in Birmingham.
Birmingham Yoga has been an organic process, beginning as Magic City Yoga, a “studio without walls”. Recently we added some walls and branched into a space at First Ave Rocks bouldering gym. You will now find our yoga shala inside the gym at 2417 First Ave South. See our link for studio information and class times at our studio
We continue to hold the “studio without walls” concept in our hearts, as we feel borders and boundaries are something of an illusion, maya. We are blessed with a growing family of talented teachers in Birmingham. It is in the spirit of community that we continue sharing information about yoga-related events and classes in the area, in addition those organized by us, so that the individual seeking a teacher or class can be aware of the abundant opportunities to experience and immerse themselves in the practice of yoga.
